Update Regarding Purchase Tax
Dear Clients,
We would like to remind you that on June 1, 2025, the temporary provision that shortened the period from 24 months to 18 months for purchasers of an additional apartment—allowing them to benefit from the purchase tax brackets of a single home if they sold their first apartment within that period—was canceled.
This means that today, a purchaser of an additional apartment may benefit from the purchase tax brackets of a single home if they sell their first apartment within 24 months from the date of purchase of the second apartment, rather than within 18 months.
Please note that there is an intention to permanently amend the law to set the period at 18 months instead of 24 months. For now, this is the current situation, and we will update you accordingly.
